Stacy Garret
Running a marathon had been on the back of Stacy’s mind years after her experiences on her high school cross-country team. She brought that dream to fruition when she joined the L.A. Roadrunners in 2000. She was thrilled to be a part of such a great training program. She thanks three of her most influential Pace Leaders, Katie, Don Morse and Salya Mohamedy for their support and guidance. She credits them with getting her hooked, once again, on such a great sport, community and culture.
After five years with the LA Roadrunners, Stacy was an active leader during the inaugural season of the Inland Empire Roadrunners, becoming a pace leader for the 2006 LA Marathon. Today Stacy is the Assistant Coach for the Pacers Running Club in Chino Hills. She enjoys sharing experiences and stories with first time and veteran runners alike. She is proud to be a part of the Chino Hills team and she thanks Coach Steve Sumner and Eddie and Pattie Romero for giving her the opportunity to give back to a sport that has given her so much.
When Stacy is not running, she enjoys her time living in the wonderful city of Pasadena. She loves cooking for friends, world travel, watching sports and the Food Network. As a realtor for GMAC she takes pride in making her clients’ real estate dreams come true. A true native Southern Californian, you can find Stacy on the slopes during the winter and come summer you can find her sharpening her surfing skills.
